Join Lux at Another World for a free screening of Little Palestine: A Diary of Siege on Thursday, June 25 at 7:00pm.

The 2020 film was developed with the support of Bidayyat, a Beirut-based production and distribution hub that, from 2013 to 2023, trained young media activists of the Syrian Revolution in the art of nonfiction filmmaking. For the latest issue of Lux, Devika Girish wrote on these experimental films, looking at how the image was created — who captured them, for whom, and why.

After the screening, Girish will be joined by Loubna Mrie and Lux editor Michelle Santiago Cortés for a discussion about what documentary film can and cannot do.
