A Stone's Throw (+ Q&A)

  • Woodbine 414 Broadway New York, NY, 10013 United States (map)

Join Cinema with Comrades and the Anti-War Working Group for a fundraiser and screening of A Stone’s Throw (2024). Director Razan AlSalah retraces the multiple displacements of Palestinian elder Amine—from Haifa to Beirut to an offshore oil platform in the Gulf—locating his story in the broader history of Zionist colonization, contemporary systems of migrant labor and oil extraction, and the legacy of the 1936 sabotage of British oil infrastructure by Palestinian workers in Haifa.

Followed by a conversation with Razan AlSalah and Séamus Malekafzali.

All proceeds will go to aid for families affected by Israel’s war on Lebanon.
